The 2020 Pavilion was not a structure at all but a network of radio shows, live digital debates and socially distant art activities. Highlights included a pioneering children's consultation regarding the redevelopment of Powis Square, a door to door troupe serenading shielding residents with the sounds and tastes of Carnival, a series of radio conversations helping British, Dutch and international artists and activists share tactics, fine art sessions with the Portobello School of Painting and Drawing, two academic publications (International Journal of Carnival Arts, Engage 45), and a UEL student collaboration in which trainee journalists and broadcasters investigated urban beekeeping in North Kensington.
